Notes: After you rack the first time (better do it when you see the alchool level stabilizing), use a pump and a lauter tun or bazooka to recirculate the wort with the oak chips. My wood chips was previously used for a sacrificial beer, as they was too rich in tannins. You can keep the beer and use it as an adjunct to give a wood flavour to other beers. |
