| Notes: This beer is perfect for winter - malty and warming. I put the cocoa powder in the mash to give it longer to impart flavor. Create a vodka tincture with the cinnamon stick, nutmeg, and clove, and added to taste when bottling or kegging. It lets you control how much of those holiday flavors you want in your beer. At first, I didn't add much, but I found that I like it so I added more the second year. |

Have had issues with efficiency when batch sparging 5gal batches (single sparge so will try two sparges and see if it improves.
Last use of 007 got almost 81% attenuation, so we'll see where this ends up.
Will grab publix brand oats and see how that goes.
first dry hop will be added when fermentation is just slowing, 2-3 days.
2nd dry hop is in the keg. |
