Recipe based on a cream ale and using strawberry extract at bottling Fermentation for 8 days at 80F. ~4.5 gallons from fermenter. Added Sugar and Gelatin for carbon (2.6vols co2) and clarity. Bottle ~18 bottles. With 2.5 gallons remaining Added strawberry - 94mls to 2.5 gallons Blonde came out with nice clarity and really is reminiscent of like a Coors but with a bit more wheat character. Strawberry version was a big hit. Extract is a bit artificial tasting but people enjoy the artificialness of it.

Mash grains for 60 minutes at 152° F. Mash out just below 170° F for 10 minutes and then fly Sparge with 168° F water. Bring wort to a boil for approximately 10 minutes and then chill to 100° F. Add lactobacillus culture and maintain temperature for at least 24 hours or until the wort reaches a pH of 3.2. 60 minute boil with the addition of .5 ounces of Spalt Hops. Chill to 80° F and pitch yeast. Once the primary fermentation is complete, rack the beer one to any pasteurized fruit purée for an additional 10 days.

(ca 1 liter pr kg) Desse 10 literene vil forbli i malten. Teoretisk vil du då ha igjen ca 30 liter med vørter. Etterskylling med 20 liter vatn i maltrøyret, vil tilsei at du har igjen ca 50 liter vørter før innkoking. Etter innkoking og kjøling vil du ha ca 45 liter netto. Mine erfaringar at det passar bra. Alt ut frå malttyper og meskeprosess vil då vørteren ha ein OG på mellom 1060 - 1068. Kan sjølvsagt tilsette kokt vatn til slutt for å justera til ein lågare OG om det er aktuelt. Netto : 45 Tilsetter 10 liter mer vann neste gang, eventuelt justere til OG er korrekt OG : 1.053 litt lite vann Batch 1 startet å gjære etter 24 timer Batch 2 startet etter 30 timer Må ha vært en lekasje, FG var den samme på begge karene: 1,010 det er anbefalt å løse opp gjæren i vann ( 25 grader) (kokt på forhånd) eventuelt ha i to poser med gjær Gjæring : 2 uker . Startdato: 06.02.2017 Sukker : 7 gram/liter (løst i kokt vann) Flasking : 20.02.2017: antall flasker : 80 halvlitere
