| Notes: This beer is very floral and friuty. An agreeable beer for sure. leaves a flavor in your mouth long after its drank.Agreeable by the many that have tasted it. I recently had a party of about 30 and shared it among other brews I have created. This one was the one everyone went back to. I seriously believe you wont be disasapointed if you try it. If you improve it or change it, I'd love to know how it turned out for you. Or if you followed the recipe, what your thoughts were. |

Adjusting for 8g/l dry hop saturation point as mentioned in http://brulosophy.com/2019/06/24/investigating-the-dry-hop-saturation-point-exbeeriment-results/
Including the hop stand/whirlpool as a "dry hop" the budget for post boil hops is 8g*14l=112g hops. I stuffed up my calculations a bit so the majority of the dry hop quota went into the high krausen addition leaving only a little bit for the final dry hop but should be fine. I usually use 240g so its a good test.
I've also added a small amount of Warrior hops to see if it gives a little bit of a bitterness backbone underneath the hops that just come out of the hops during whirlpool/dry hopping |

Use Epsom Salt, calcium chloride and calcium sulfate additions to adjust water profile to about 175–200 ppm chloride, 75–100 ppm sulfate, and 125–150 ppm calcium.
Mash at 149°F (65°C) for 60 minutes or until conversion is complete. Add half of the water salt additions to the mash and the rest at sparge. Add the FWH hops during runoff, immediately after vorlauf, and allow them to steep in the hot wort as the mash is sparged.
Boil for 60 minutes. Whirlpool for 40 minutes (from start to rest) following the hops schedule.
Pitch the yeast and ferment at 67°F (19°C) for 2–3 days, then allow the temperature to rise slowly to 73°F (23°C) by the end of fermentation to ensure full attenuation. When fermentation reaches 1.5–2° Plato from terminal gravity (1.020–1.022), add the first dry-hop addition. About 4 days later, add the second dry-hop addition for another 4 days. Package at 2.6 volumes of CO2 and consume fresh.
Takes 20 to 25 days before ready |

Cream Ale Fizzy Yellow Beer
Recipe Type: All Grain
Yeast: S-05
Yeast Starter: No
Batch Size (Gallons): 5
Original Gravity: 1.054
Final Gravity: 1.008 (too low!)
IBU: 21
Boiling Time (Minutes): 60
Color: 4.8 SRM
Primary Fermentation (# of Days & Temp): 14 days at 62
Secondary Fermentation (# of Days & Temp): Kegged and cold
Tasting Notes: A huge hit with the BMC crowd! Nice white head, clear and crisp but with flavor.
7 lbs Vienna Malt (3.5 SRM) Grain 70.00 %
3 lbs Pilsner (2 Row) UK (1.0 SRM) Grain 30.00 %
0.50 oz Pearle [8.40 %] (60 min) Hops 14.4 IBU
0.50 oz Tettnang [4.20 %] (45 min) Hops 6.6 IBU
0.50 oz Tettnang [4.20 %] (0 min) Hops -
1 Pkgs Safale US-05 (Fermentis #US-05) Yeast-Ale
Mash at 150 degrees for 60-75 minutes. Sparge to get boil volume. Boil for 60 minutes, and rapidly chill to 62 degrees. Add yeast, and ferment at 62 for 14 days. Rack into secondary, or keg, and crash cool until clear.
This beer was not originally mine- I found it somewhere here, but can't find the thread of who posted it. Will the real recipe-czar please confess? I made a few changes, to match my supplies, but other yeast strains can be used. German Ale yeast, at a cool ale temperature, would be wonderful. This beer tastes like a more flavorfull BMC.
Due to my long and low temp mash, it finished at 1.008, lower than my goal of about 1.010-1.012. I thought it might be too dry, but it actually turned out perfect! |

Notes: Blonde Ales can flex light to crunchy malt character and bold or balanced Hop happiness. This recipe teams a characterful English yeast strain and the satifysingly subtle yet zingy and zesty German Hop, Saphir. Rounding out this whole quenching package is the addition of Biscuit malt, it sends a mesmerising and petite malty-Anzac-biscuity dry crunch across your palette, “you beauty!” you scream!
Having this little satiating beer in your ‘go to’ list this summer mean you can throw at it whatever hops or yeast you like, it’s versatile and just fun! This iteration has a light passionfruit and sleepy time tea aroma, bold stone fruit flavour that is chased by a stallion of malty biscuity dryness. Have a pleasant day whilst sipping this boisterous Ale.
