Also used more mash water than traditional to test a sparging theory. Results were better, but nominal. TASTING NOTES: As expected! Results have been consistent over 4 batches. Numbers, taste, appearance, flavors all on point. Slight tartness with strong wheat backbone. Love this beer!

Add the boiled portion of the mash back to the mash tun. Lauder and sparge until 6.3 - 6.5 gallons of 1042 - 1044 sg wort is collected. If sg is low, do not be afraid to collect additional wort and extend the boil to reduce volume.
