Meskevolum:
Ka man starte med angående meskevolum e ikkje gitt, men någe man bare må prøva seg frem på. Eg har hatt god erfaring på 44-47 Liter ved oppstart av mesking.
Når meskestegene nærme seg fullført å man e klar til å skylle må dokk ta et estimat av SG. Denne estimaten gir en pekepinn på korlangt ifra man e antatt mål.

Når det komme til skylling må dokk se på SG og volum (la mesken renne av malten) denne vil sannsynlig vær fin, men nå sitte dokk sannsynelig igjen med 38-40 ish Liter, ut i fra dette må dokk skylle til dokk når et akseptabelt volum og SG. Tror eg har skylt med opp mot 22-25 Liter for å nå ca 56-57 Liter. Dette vil sannsynelig fordampe bra av på 90 minutter. Anbefale og å se på følgende kalkulator:

Har tatt utgangspunkt i 70 % effektivitet, men når det e varmt og mulighet for mye fordampning kan dokk enda opp med effektivitet på 78% ergo sterkt øl.

Notes: A quick brew. Place extract in hot water for 20 minutes. Chop 4 habanero chilies and put in a hop bag. Use gloves. Bring 3 litres of water to a boil, add sugar, DME and the habanero bag. Boil for a couple of minutes. Transfer to fermentor. Add liquid extract. Stir. Fill up with cold tap water (total 21 l). Stir again, and oxygenate. Make sure the wort holds about 18-22 degrees C. Pitch one pack of yeast. Add dry hops and passionfruit juice on day 4. |
