Notes: Beer Recipe
1. Heat strike water up to 160F/ 71C.
2. Sit the brew bag into the water and slowly pour in the combined grain making sure to not create grain balls.
3. Mash in your grain at 152F/ 67C for 30 minutes stirring regularly. Note, make sure to keep an eye on temperature throughout.
4. After the mash in time is complete, heat up the mash to 175F/ 80C for mash out and pull the bag out.
5. Bring the mash to the boil and add the bittering hops right after the "hot break" to avoid boil over. You can also add your prepared blueberries.
6. With 10 minutes to go, add the aroma hops and stir.
7. Last hop drop is at 0 minutes.
8. Turn off heat source and cool down wort.
9. Pitch yeast at 65F.
10. Pour wort into fermenter and aerate.
11. Allow to ferment for roughly 8 days.
12. After fermentation, add primming solution and bottle beer.
13. Condition for roughly 5 days in bottles.

Full volume, no sparge
Hops loose in kettle
Check wort pH near end of boil, target 5.2-5.3. Adjust with lactic acid in kettle as needed.
Chill to 65F. Oxygenate and yeast pitch at 65F and increase by 1F per day until 72F. Maintain 72F until end of fermentation. Then raise to 75F x 3 days to ensure full attenuation.
Check pH with target 4.2-4.3. Adjust with lactic acid as needed?
At terminal, cold crash x 5 days, add gelatin x 3 days, then keg with biofine. Pull pint on day 5 then highly carbonate.
Condition x 4-6 weeks minimum at 35F |
