Kettle soured to pH 3.44
Pitched US-05 but it seemed to stall so added some T-58.
After about 8 days fermenting gravity was 1.014 so racked onto 1kg blueberries with some pectolase.
Liquorice taste is there but has mainly been used for the slick mouthfeel it gives. 60g was about right, I may add more near bottling by making an extract. |

Notes: 1.5 Tbps pumpkin pie spice @ 5 min remaining in boil
2019 Batch - Spices came out harsh and bitter. Good after 4-6 weeks in bottle. Use a tincture next year. Pumpkin not really noticeable. Consider adding vanilla bean. |

Worth was at 1078 (did a bit of a mess on the BIAB temperature control since it was my first time).
Added the primitivo grapes and the Oenebeer is now resting in second. Gravity was 1024.
Raised temperature to 77 to facilitate extra fermentation in second. |

Notes: Mill the grains and dough-in targeting a mash of around 1.5 qts. (1.4 L) of water to 1 pound (0.45 kg) of grain (a liquor-to-grist ratio of about 3:1 by weight) and a temperature of 154 °F (68 °C). Hold the mash at 154 °F (68 °C) until enzymatic conversion is complete. Infuse the mash with near- boiling water while stirring or with a recirculating mash system raise the temperature to mash out at 168 °F (76 °C). Sparge slowly with 170 °F (77 °C) water, collecting wort until the pre-boil kettle volume is around 6.5 gallons
