| Notes: Batch resulted in about 4 gallons of beer overall and appears much more bitter than the IBUs suggest, probably also in part because I missed my gravity at 1.050. Add some 2-row or wheat next time. Dial back the fresh hops, nobody needs that many freshies, mash pot looked like a fricken salad after that boil. |

Chill wort to 63° F (17° C) and ferment for 7 days, allowing temperature to free rise to 73° F (23° C) and ferment to completion.

Lacto wasn't viable anymore. Added 7 ml of lactic acid instead (didn't have ph meter anymore).
Added 80g (pre-dehydrated weight) of hibiscus flowers at 10 min. 37g of purple and 45 g of white.
A big struggle to cool beer down. Unsure of yeast viability. OG was much higher than intended (1.044) |
