Notes: 1 - Heat water to 160, then steep grains for 20 min
2 - Mix in extract, turn heat back on to boil
3 - When boiling, add Columbus hops, set timer for 45 minutes (Add Chinook hops and Lactose and boil for another 15)
4 - Cool wort down to room temp. Put in fermenter and add yeast
5 - After done fermenting, add vanilla and vodka, let sit for 1 week. |

Notes: Found this listed as Brithish Bitter (sp?) in Brewer's Friend and copied it to my recipes. The late edition extract is available as Maillard Malts, Maris Otter Malt Extract from Northern Brewer. The name brands of the DME are Munson's DME LIght and steeping grains Fawcett Cara Malt respectively. All available from Northern Brewer.
I want to try this recipe for a traditional British Bitter session beer.
