Robobrew has a 6 kg limit on it capacity. I mashed in a secondary cooler because I could not fit the malt in. I also sparged with an additional 10 litres. Used the Blichmann for the boil to get down to 23 litres. |

Notes: Treat strike and sparge water with 0.2g per gallon of calcium chloride.
Pull 4.75 gallons of runoff and boil 90 mins. Need to leave room in the fermenter for sugar additions. Shoot for 4 gallons in fermenter
Boil in 2 gallons of water: 3# Amber DME 1# Maple Syrup 3# Dextrose
Chill and keep refrigerated. Add this mixture 1qt per day starting at high krauesen, along with a small bit of yeast nutrient with each addition.
Starting wort OG XX x X gallons (XX) + Admixture OG XX x X gallons (XX)+(XX) / X gallons = XX adjusted OG
Once fermentation is complete add vanilla and rack to barrel for 2-3 months aging. |

| Notes: This is basically the mosaic ipa kit from northern brewer. The numbers come out looking kind of crazy. Brewers friend says it’s closest to an imperial ipa. If I looked at the receipe numbers (IBU, ABV, BU/GU) I might not have made this beer. But I did and I am glad. It’s a fantastic beer that everybody really enjoys. It’s a big beer but is really easy drinking. The hop aroma is insane. Bubblegum, berries, pine, and mango. |
