Will pitch the 820 as well for grins. Mash as shown - color seems nice and there is a little roast in the aroma. didn't measure pH. (Used Morebeer's Munich Dark, with a L of 10. That corresponds with this recipe's calculator of Munich Light 10L so that's what I put in the calculator, but that's not what I bought!) First runnings:1.079 Last: 1.007 Added 1 g. to get to pre-boil of 1.046, only .001 high from desired. Had a boilover plus using the 22g pot made the wort much higher density than it would have been w/ only a 60 min boil. Also only collected 9g. OG - 1.059 Cooled in fermenter to 45 - pitched about 7 hours later and fermented at 50. Once it fermented out to around 1.020 we raised it 5 deg a day to 68 and held for 6 days. Finished at 1.013 Down 5 deg/day as low as we could go and sat for around a week at 38 deg. Kegged clear and good. Very light hops and slight roasty flavor - nice light amber color. Tasted really good - surprisingly popular at Ofest! Nice and dry - perhaps back off 20-25% on the chocolate malt. Almost perfect!
