Brewed again early 2024. This batch is drinkable but not too interesting. Really light in body and flavors. Too much bitterness to be considered a light beer. Maybe could be entered as a blonde ale or cream ale. It's like a B- beer. Next time either take it the direction of a light lager or cream ale and reduce bitterness try to make it crisper. Or add more body to make it more like a blonde ale. =========== 11/20/2023========= updating recipe...homebrew shop gave flaked oats instead of oat malt. also adding acid malt for mash pH =========== 11/8/2023========= new recipe! looking for some new blonde ales to brew and ran across this idea. from a little research it appears that irish blonde ale isnt actually a real style. like not in bjcp, but also there may not be any commercial examples either - doesnt exist. Appears to have been made up by Northern Brewer.
