Honey was Rich and Dark from Asda, 340g size, new for 2023 added to secondary fermentation along with coconut to reduce honey taste off-gassing Aiming for honey notes and coconut = Gorse flowers Hops see 2022 notes. At bottling looks to be very pale, very coconut and very rich - Should be a bit special. Tasting - Wow, coconut with rich malt finish, warming and full bodied. Bitter enough not to be cloying.

This is based on an article Make Your Best: British Golden Ale by Josh Weikert. This is modified to fit grain and hops I had on hand, but is close. It's a great summer quencher and I will brew again using Josh's recommended hops. If you have anyone who is moving up from US lagers this is a great way to get them going. Light, crisp with enough hops for aroma and flavor without slapping you in the face with them.
