Notes: This is modified from Alan Sprints owner Hair of the Dog's barleywine called Adam to fit into the Grainfather. ingredients were mostly divided in half from his original recipe and slightly changed because of lack of exact grains being available. Colors and flavors of the specialty grains are approximated by Sean Null. Local Juniper berries are my twist. 2 pounds Demerara Sugar added to bring up ABV and add caramel flavors lost in the shorter boil.
Evaporation wasn’t as much as usual. Ended up at 6 gallons in the fermenter. |
