Man, that Schofferhofer grapefruit used to be all I drank in the summer: Hefeweitzen with grapefruit juice. But the high sugar content puts it out of reach for me.

Wheat Ale
Gate City is my local brewery, that's one of their best.
No photo, but @Josh Hughes dropped off a couple bottles last week - that's how he got that Copperhead - and I just finished a bottle of his Hohlschuh Lager.
Wow. This is what Budweiser aspires to. Very flavorful, nice clean malt, just a touch of bitterness up front, with a mild linger on the tongue. I wish he'd brought more than two.
(Actually, he brought two of "B" - I'll report on that soon).

Two Litre test bottle session of Smugglers Special (ESB) extract kit by Muntons, ABV: 6%. Almost clear at two weeks. Intense Grapefruit effect of first test around a week ago has now mellowed into an overall moderate citrussy bitterness and better for it. Refreshing and moreish. Yeah it is kinda special already
