What are you drinking right now?

My Biere de Garde. Under carbed and not much of a head.

Jackie O’s a mystic mama ipa. Wife and I ran to eat at a place I love called Patties and Pints. They have 50 taps and always a good variety. Sophie is at my brothers so we snuck out to eat. Embarrassingly only time I’ve eaten in there since Spring 2020. We do get their food to go often though. View attachment 19548
That a great beer! Jackie- O's is a fantastic brewery!
Enjoy.

Whoa! You Pennsylvanians and Marylanders gotta be on the lookout for this. It's a local Adam's County cidery (Jack's, Atomic Dog) that has a place in Gettysburg. I think I a becoming an IPA drinker! This hits the palate like a juicy NEIPA but finishes really dry with a hit of apple. This is a sock knocker if I ever had one!

In the time it took to write this...I got one more sip left!

Brew day Dark Mild here
Actually brewed this this day last week!View attachment 19546
Look at that water all over the cabinet :(.
Om the nose roast slight chocolate faint though. Flavour it's light sorta watery no mouthfeel there is roast flavour it's smooth clean with a nice bitterness just let me down on the body man.
I rekon next run I'll go a lower attenuator more estery yeast and that will fix this.
But you know it goes down the hatch easy just not what I was invisioning. Has a faint cola type flavour which is cool.
Cheers
Don't be surprised if the mouth feel improves after two or three weeks in the keg.

Second pour of the fast-carbed Josh's Brown Sound.

No pics, but I had a "la chouffe" and a "victoria" today. The latter being a strong blonde. Very nice.
I also tasted an "oproer". Sort of sour that I think would be great in summertime.
Need to find the sort of recipe.

Which reminds me: gotta check mentored ingredients and take some of the specialty grains with me as everyone is raving about it

I'll have to consider that one! @Josh Hughes, do you have a link?
This is Josh's original recipe. This is my adaptation of it.
For what it is worth, this recipe tastes really brown (malty, toast). In another version, I removed the Chocolate Wheat and cut back on the Crystal 45 and Carabrown (.75 lb each) while increasing the Maris Otter (8.5 lb) to maintain OG. Honestly, it wasn't very distinctive - OK but forgettable. The original (adapted) recipe still stands as better. WLP005 was great, S-04 is a reasonable sub.

I'm going to have to give this one a go I think...

A Monday morning Tripple? Not judging...;)
Vacation! Walking distance from our Airbnb accommodations. And it’s hot! Wearing shorts, t-shirts and sandals is quite unusual here this time of year.

So good, my wife is having a Tripizzle (r), while I am on to Alpine Duet IPA (l).
