Just drinking the MentoRed. A very nice brew indeed.
My problem is with conditioning. I tried the technique of adding the sugar to the bottling bucket in a syrup form and then adding the beer from the formenter afterwards. I usually seed each bottle in turn before adding the beer and then capping.
I didn't stir it as much as I should have I guess as the last two bottles filled turned out to be highly explosive when opened - all over the kitchen window and work top. I cleaned it up before Mrs H saw it!!!
A third from earlier in the batch made it to the glass intact so I am enjoying that now.

Back to individual bottle seeding from now on.

My nephew was recently out in the great American west and I’m proud to say he didn’t forget his drunken uncle back home!

Fishbrau Pale and Dirty Penster Brown. Day 2 in the keg. Fishbrau has light DME/amber DME and azacca hops. No grains, no finings, no nutrients. Dirty Penster is light & amber DME, half a pound of steeping grains, centennial hops, and also no finings or nutrients. Both fermented with S04. Cheers

Here is a bottle of my Belgian Dubbel while I have a Belgian pale ale in the boil kettle. What was planned as a pale ale may actually become an IPA, as the pre-boil gravity was 6 points over the recipe projection. We’ll see what we have at the end of the boil.
