What are you drinking right now?

This is what I mean by some night life bug action around my taps:eek::DView attachment 18155
I should say cheers to these ladys and gents they help keep me employed and well it's their biggest night of their life!

What?
Their Alates the termite caste responsible for future of the termite colony. All these reproductive termites are on their colonizing flight this evening. The air is hot and humid and storms have been and are still brewing it feels you could cut the air with a knife it's so thick!
This is perfect time for termites to launch and go in search of a new nest site.
2% will survive! Go forth I say but don't multiply in my place lol

That's a kolsch I had to fish one of them frisky termites outta the tap before I poured this:p.cheers

On the beer it's finally come good after lagering it over a month not my best example but I'll finish the keg In honour of keeping my brew goal this year of not tipping a keg fingers crossed ...
I’ve never brewed a Kolsch but. Will have it on my schedule in the next few months. It will be called the German word for termite or something close. I read your story to my wife. She said “I guess you’ll be brewing this now”? :)

I want to do a kolsch soon too! I finally got the hops in for the recipe I used to brew my only kolsch before. But I submitted it to a contest and got high 30's so I'd like to take a crack at it again

Wallenpaupack Brewing - Kuyt and Key
Dutch style Kuyt beer with Oat, Wheat and Pale malts.

Don’t see many Kuyt beers around so I jumped at this. Nice beer, some yeasty/fruity esters, a bit grainy, very drinkable. Having never had a “Kuyt” beer before, couldn’t tell you how authentic this is, but I’m a fan.

After a morning hike to beat the heat, I just enjoyed an amber ale of my own creation. It still needs more carbonation, but it is fizzy and tastes really good. The bottles are conditioning in my garage, where it is plenty warm. I bet in a few more days, carbonation will be right where it needs to be. In the meantime, I’ll sample a bottle or two daily.
