I have been doing the around town version of that. I went to try one on Saturday, and they had the full festivities going on. The brewery's version on Saturday was delicious, but it was something like 6.6%, and I was driving. I bought the wife one so I could taste it. I think the one I had on Friday is my favorite so far. It was very, very good and still sessionable enough in the low to mid 5's. I am going to make something like that for the holidays, and it is wonderful to taste all the different versions.

Went the crapshow that was Bengals vs Ravens. 4 of us split a mini keg of my Festbier. Super fun tailgate and then the game started….Oh well I was a fan through some terrible bengals teams.

I saw something in a magazine a few years ago where they were doing multi day bike tours through the Belgian farm country to different breweries. I would have to get a lot of practice on the West Orange Trail getting on a bike again, but sounded fun as hell.

I’ve been on a drunk bicycle before. I still don’t remember how I made it home. That happened back in 1978 after polishing off a pitcher of dark beer all by myself after work in a pizza joint. Silly bicycle.

Some leftover fermenter IPA. No cold crash so I’m confident it will be clearer from the refrigerator in a few days. Nice bitterness and centennial aroma. Really going to enjoy this one.

The wife helped me taste a few. Got to try a Marzen, an American Lager with corn (basically a Pre Pro), a Pale Ale, a Porter, a Batleywine, and a Weisenbock. Sometimes you need some help or else you aren't getting home safely, especially with the way the nut jobs drive around here.

I have lost count of the Festbiers/Marzens now, but I had two more different ones this weekend and one that I tried before on Friday.

Q3 brown. Hops bitterness has mellowed, still more prominent than I'd like (and my own fault!) but the maltiness definitely shines through now!

Punkin pie maerzen. Traditional maerzen with pumpkin pie spice. Nice and malty, just a touch of sweet. Tried to give it some pie spice without making it just pie spice with beer in it
