What are you drinking right now?

Remember you two talking about it Saturday. Only batch I made turned out well fermenting right in the container

Well i just poured off a bit to give it a bit of room in ihe original bottle , threw in half of a pack of 05 and set in the corner . No bubler , just tin foil and a rubber band.
OG 1.047 we will see.

Looks like something is going on. Should have used a bubbler so I could tell easier.

Sunfire, this may be one for you if you can read the label. It is a 4.8 %, very light, View attachment 24371 but extremely complex lager

"Their beautiful brewery faces the Mediterranean in a 14th century farmhouse".
You wouldn't have to pay me much to work at that brewery!

Bunyip Pale Ale

Spending more time with this beer. This was bittered with Magnum, late hopped with Citra and Mosaic and dry hopped with Mosaic. I find the bitterness has probably overshot the calculated IBU’s and wandered into IPA territory. But maybe not. Because I don’t believe the calculators add up late additions properly. Nothing against the calculators, because it’s next to impossible anyway. Regardless, I’m simply perceiving more than the projected 45 IBU’s.
That aside, the hops aroma is wonderful, super citrusy and berry-ish. And the body of the beer - as advertised - stands up to the bitterness. I used all Pennsylvania craft malt and between the bready/malty backbone from the 2row and Munich and slight caramel from the crystal, this beer drinks very smooth and sneaky. Also, maybe from the wheat, this beer has a nice soft, creamy head and leaves a workmanlike lacing down the glass.
BRY-97 is the perfect yeast for this beer. Attenuates well but not too well, finishes clean, clearing enough.

When I rebrew this beer, I *might* lower the 60 minute bittering addition to see if the malt comes forward just a tick more. Then again I might not bother making any changes at all and I’ll just call it an IPA. :)

All that nonsense above is simply to say that I am absolutely loving this beer. Thanks Ben.

Great description @Megary! I wish I could my sensory perceptions of beer into words like that! I usually wind up closer to "Beer taste good! Beer smell good. Beer good!"

No I mean last one of the keg.

Last pint is always the clearest...

Not throwing dirt on your beer man just pissing in your pocket so to speak :D
Haha no worries. This was actually a new beer I just tapped Saturday. I let to keg settle before pint two. Most of the time I move my kegs around to get beer.

Lately I have been deep down a rabbit hole, doing research on updating my snow skiing gear. Today I pulled the trigger on new boots, skis and bindings. Thursday March 9 I will put my new tools to use.
Nice! Which mountain are you headed to?

Now that's a nice looking bevvy one great to have in hand whilst researching adventure activities .

Sounds exciting!

Breckenridge Brewery Vanilla Porter after a long day of installing carpet on the basement stairs. Again today, I’m well aware of why I do NOT lay carpet for a living. Even thin 20 ounce commercial carpet is like wrestling a bear on stairs. All I have left on the stairs is the hand rail and touch up for the scratches I introduced while adding trim and carpet. I gotta put up some before/after photos or you folks gonna think I’m sandbagging.

I believe you Roadie ;);)

Willamette Pass, as it’s the closest, and it costs only $19 when purchased online.
I just hope the rust comes off easily, as I have not skied since February 2012, at Vail.
It should be like riding a bike.
I love Willamette Pass. There were several winters that I was up there every weekend. Not the biggest resort, but it will serve your purpose for a fun time :) I hope you share pictures when you go!

You can count on it, probably with a beer picture thrown in for good measure. I’m just a little nervous about the drive, as I haven’t driven in snow for longer than I haven’t skied. We’ll put our Subaru Crosstrek through its paces, slow and steady.
