@Trialben can you shoot me your recipe for that?
It's very remincent of the Shady Bohemian.
Drinking last night it had some subtle hints of chocolate and vanilla but a great little sipper nice and lite in body a great little beer but honestly Shady Bohemian is better but this one not bad at all https://www.brewersfriend.com/homebrew/recipe/view/1204095/schwartz-lager

You know I'm right there with you I think this and @Bulin's Milker Bucket Brews Czech dark lager would be great at a scaled up 6-7% version.
I recon it would amplify all them beautiful smooth choc roasty notes and really fill out the beer will have to do this I think.
Cheers

Thanks for sharing. Yeah I meant to scale Shady up for this Christmas and didn’t get around to it.

Some things change, some things stay the same. Well, this was my father’s and his father’s Porter.
It’s definitely an old-school recipe - caramel malts, chocolatey, not a big body - but this beer stands the test of time. Some people will have you believe that there really isn’t a difference between a Porter and a Stout. Well this is definitely a Porter. @Ward Chillington

The last bottle of my latest batch of amber ale. Last night, I finished the last bottle of HAPA, my Azacca pale ale. That leaves me with my American brown ale bottled and drinking nicely. I am still more than a week from having my Belgian Dubbel ready to bottle, and I’ll be brewing a slightly rejiggered batch of HAPA next week.

WOW! What a lineup!
How did you like the Bunnahabhain? I have never heard of it before, but just looked it up and it is something that I can order for delivery.
Islay's are typically very peaty, co.pared to Highlands which are usually pretty mellow and smooth drinking. I tend to prefer the peatier drams...

I ran it up to 6% once, wasn't bad, but I think the sweet spot is just over 5%. After a few batches, this is the final recipe I settled on. Just a slight bit more of everything.
