While I wait for my appointment for my first COVID vaccination, I am at the old lhbs (Phantom Ales) enjoying an Upside Brown with some chips, precious. They have quite a selection of ciders and meads on tap, too.

ETA - unfortunately, it appears this lhbs is letting things slide on the homebrewing side. They have plenty of hops, but very little yeast. Brewing equipment inventory is nill. It’s a shame to see, because this shop got me started in home brewing.

I stopped in the grocery store this morning and a couple Apple fritters jumped in the basket. Outside, the liquor store next door had a sign pushing this " Cinnamon Bread Beer". So I had to give it a try.
I can get the cinnamon bread idea but I think I will stick to cinnamon rolls.

Water for me the last few days. Needed a few days off. Tuesday I had a little much for the heat and had some bad cramps that nights since I didn’t drink enough water. Yesterday was dead from yard work. Tonight just figured I’d take another off. Tomorrow I am tapping the ESB though!

Herm’s Amber Ale, now down to last 2 bottles of that batch. It is peculiar that the past several bottles start pushing foam within 2 seconds of removing the cap. I have to pour quickly to avoid a fountain of foam. There is nothing wrong with the flavor, it’s just really foamy beer. My wife thinks hoppiness has increased over the past few weeks.
