What are you drinking right now?

The summer of blondes continues with a local one, Fogbelt Brewing Company. Sierra Nevada Oktoberfest is waiting on deck

Love it when August hits and this hits the shelves! It immediately makes me want winter to show up and Winter Lager to hit the shelves!

If only Sam Adams would get back to brining us German Lagers! Even experiemental ones or "craft" versions would be cool!

I haven't made the time to do much with the brewery in the last few weeks... been planning and searching for materials to make my thermopane windows. Just rec'd the aluminum last night and waiting on the glass to be made and delivered... organized and inventoried the aluminum today and had half a bottle of my Red 'Irish' Rye Ale during the process... not that anything in particular makes it Irish... just a cool descriptor to add to the Red Ale name. Ohh.. and I guess I should add.... took all the fittings and hoses completely off the brew rig.. and disassembled everything to the smallest component levels (took the balls out of the ball valves) for a thorough cleaning.. to prepare for the next real brew season, which should start in another 6 to 8 weeks.

Latest Two Hearted clone. This version is a much better and close example I think. I'll give it about a week and see how it compares to the real thing. It's still sweet, but not the cloyingly sweet from too much crystal like I got from the last batch. I get loads of centennial here. I like.

Kinda dark for an ESB, tasting notes please;)
Recipe wise it was as dark as it could be, and finished a little darker than that. I did all my hops at start of the boil so it’s balanced to my tastes. Tastes bready with the Slightest nuttiness. Bitterness is there doesn’t linger. It is quite clean. I wasn’t going for a Fullers but a darker stronger bitter than the usual. My tasting notes need work, But I love the beer!

Sounds delish!

Looks like a great time! So what in your flight of beers?
Left to right

Great Lakes Brewing, Toronto
Pompous Ass served on Nitro
Beauty version of an English ale, Nitro was a nice touch!

Sawdust City Brewing, Gravenhurst
Lone Pine IPA
Dank and piney, delish, much clearer when purchased in a can oddly

Elora Brewing, Elora
Elora Borealis, Citra IPA
This was more enjoyable on tap, when purchased in the can you get the bits that are trendy to put in beers these days

New Belgium Brewing, Toronto
VooDoo Ranger
WC IPA
Meh, not bad, but not great
