What are you doing with homebrew today?

Finally got my Donker Mild into bottles...fingers crossed on no gushers. The T58 was really stubborn getting down to a steady FG given the 11 grams to about 4 and a half gallons of 1042 wort especially after taking off like a rocket. Anyone else have an issue like this with a direct dry pitch like this? The FG was 1019.

I guess it would depend on recipe and mash temp. How long did it sit at .019 and what temperature

I'll post the grain bill later but the mash was a 1 hour at 163° F and for the finish line , I bumped the fermenter to 73° from 68° for an additional week after the initial 4 weeks and after adjusting for the temp change we were still at 1.019. I need to go back and look at my notes...I wanna say that one of the carboys didn't get the oxygen injection pre pitch.

Was going to brew a Dunkel but rain will prevent that. Looks like Monday no rain.

Well at 163 i would expect a higher FG especially if you used a lot of specialty malts. As long as the FG was stable it should be fine

Trillium makes good beers I haven't had that particular beer. I remember they had a small tasting room in Boston you could visit and get growlers filled. That was many years ago

Well sitting with my phone watching football not brewing. But did order a Chapman stainless brew bucket. Howdy Brewing. Never used them. $99 but got 10% and free shipping. Ended up paying $95 delivered.

Picked up grains and hops to brew another round of IPA. Now I have grains and hops and yeast to make 2 batches, the other being a Vienna Lager. Planning to end this year with one last brew session, then be ready to roll early in the new year.
