What are you doing with homebrew today?

This afternoon I went to lhbs and picked up a 2.5 gallon ball lock Corney keg, which will act as my serving keg. After I dry hop my latest IPA, it will get served from this new keg. I also picked up a second picnic tap, so now I will be able to serve from 2 kegs. A couple gallons of cider may be ready to soak up some CO2 in my other keg.

Picked up a Torpedo keg (1.6 gallon capacity, ball lock) to dispense hard cider. While at lhbs, picked up grains to brew Vienna Garage Lager, a project for some time in the next week.

I'll need to have a look at my Maris Otter potential disaster and see if it is ready for kegging.
It will be about the first time that I test FG and taste before kegging...

I transferred my dry hopped IPA into my new 2.5 gallon keg, pressurized and purged several times and sitting in the cool garage. Next up are 2 batches of cider from 2 different sources, but with wildly different results. The store bought jug, fermented with part of the remnants of an open pack of S-04, is sitting at 8.2 Brix (~1.021), tastes semi-sweet and very much like apples. The juice bought from an orchard, also fermented from that same pack of S-04 is at 3.6 Brix (~0.992), dry with some sulfur notes, but much less flavorful. I think I will blend the two, using all of the orchard juice and whatever the balance is to fill my other new 1.5 gallon keg.

Well today I'm cleaning. Brewed late yesterday. Bohemian pilsner

I hope so
Still at a loss as to how this happened
I remember talking to a brewery employee who had been there for about 7 years and I asked him after 7 years what was the difference between him and the guys he called "the brewers"? He said that the difference was that they knew what to do when something went wrong.....

Attagirl Zambi! You are a brewer!

I cut plywood to cover the bottom of the garage fridge, and got the beer and cider off the suddenly warmer garage floor (last week we had freezing fog all day, today it is nearly 60F and sunny). Cider is in Torpedo, Best IPA on right. For the time being, I am willing to work with the system I have, which includes 2 picnic taps. In a few days, I will switch the gas to the beer, and enjoy some when it is ready.
