I brewed today!

Brewed up my first batch of octoberfest (second lager ever). Doesn't get any pictures, but has a nice rich dark golden color. Hard to tell from the wort, as it was very sweet, but everything went nearly perfect numbers wise. Wanted it to be 1.060 but came out 1.056. In the end I don't think I will notice.

Gonna add some crushed coriander and a cinnamon stick after a week or so. *fingers crossed*

Brewing this today felt like something hoppy and trying out these new to me Talus hops

Got the cream ale wrapped up in the fermenter and yeast pitched about 10 minutes before maintenance came over lol perfect timing! I still have to clean up but that can wait. Hoping for an easy drinking light ale around 1.042 OG and 18 IBUs. I used 2 row, wheat, and honey and Crystal hops. I pitched Voss kveik, probably for the last time

Did you use any corn in your recipe? I have been meaning to try a cream ale but still haven't gotten around to it.

No corn, but grist was about 13% wheat. Someone might argue that it's not a true cream ale because I didn't use a flaked adjunct, but I had wheat DME that needed to be used

I brewed a west coast red that I found at a grocery store in Long Beach a few years ago. Red Trolly..not my best day...stepped away while sparging and diluted the batch..I added a 1/2 hour to the boil and got it in the 40's...gonna be more like a red stout now....oh well...time to clean up and RDWHAHB! Sorry @Craigerrr ...no kettle porn...:(

Here is today’s batch of Herm’s Amber Ale. Using an ice bath, I was able to get the wort down to about 65F, but I know it will get warmer. Pitched WLP090 (San Diego Super Yeast) after vigorous shaking of the fermenter, and the airlock is already showing activity. I think my numbers are very close to what the recipe predicted. Now the part of patience comes into play.

That yeast is a beast!

India Brown Ale is in the fridge! Fingers crossed for my first fermentation controlled by refrigerator and Inkbird. Here's the description of the beer style from the BJCP guidelines, for anyone interested:
Overall Impression: Hoppy, bitter, and moderately strong like an American IPA, but with some caramel, chocolate, toffee, and/or dark fruit malt character as in an American Brown Ale. Retaining the dryish finish and lean body that makes IPAs so drinkable, a Brown IPA is a little more flavorful and malty than an American IPA without being sweet or heavy.

My brew should clock in around 1.058 OG, 1.010 FG, 46 IBUs, and 18 SRM.

A far cry from your helles:D!
yeah it sure is. kind of random but i figured i would brew something while i wait on missing ingredients for ESB and Marzen. i happen to have lots of dark malts for some reason. i missed the mark today by 2 pts. 1.068 but its delishious.
