What did you get delivered today

Thanks Josh very interesting read and a very smart and daring man That Michael Ash.

Now I must wonder what this "High " / "Low" pour musta been like?

I found it interesting that they said that nitrogen can mute the flavours and Aromas some wow never knew this just thought the Nitrogen thing was for that Silky mouthfeel like a velvety mouth coating thing oh and that rocky Tight creamy head.
Or maybe this is the trade off...

Very cool Josh thanks again.;)

I just got this today so I can dry hop under pressure and not worry about the volcano. It goes with my all rounder. I hope to use it with my next batch.

Yeah it's exactly that a hop Bong pretty snazzy aye good onya kegland for you genius workarounds and names :D.

It goes on top of the fermenter @RoadRoach

Vary cool Clint:).

Figured that one out all by myself, looking at what appears to be the base. Looks like a lid to a fermenter to me.

Oh well, I'm sure some other contraption will rear it's head sooner or later.
Mate that's how come I built a glycol system after finding out my kegmenter don't fit in my freezer:oops::p.

Just dryhop earlier eh.
Or my workmate loves adding his dry hop to the fermenter in bag with a magnet and then releases this once dry hop is needed always a workaround;).

You may have just given me a great idea for undisturbed dry-hopping in the FF 7.9G 'Alien craft'. Looks like the space ships from "War of the Worlds" sans the people grabbing tentacles. No need to remove the top and expose the beer if I just use magnets. I like it. Magnets, I have, just need to make sure they're sterile and corrosion resistant. Some small nylon mesh bags would do beautifully. My hop spider is way too long to do that with, but nothing says it has to be used for dry hopping. As long as I leave the air-lock in place, there shouldn't be anything but CO2 in there, even if under practically zero pressure. Not touching/handling the beer is the key to a good batch, IMO, even more so than the small amount of oxygen introduced while bottling. I'll solve the bottling thing one day, and looking at some more manageable alternatives already. I think you pointed me at the 8L PET mini-kegs for storage. Still want to do something about pressure fermentation and transfer first, then I'll try out the mini-kegs.

In the middle of a kitchen renovation at the moment, though, so not likely to change much of anything because I have a rhythm on brew day that works pretty good. I save new variables in my process for times when I'm bored and willing to risk hosing things up, LOL.

I'm going to risk adding hops after releasing the pressure and then re seal and pressure up to 12psi and purge any oxygen.

CO2 is heavier than air, so as long as you don't leave it open too long and don't have much air movement, there shouldn't be much air intrusion into the fermenter if you open a small port. The hops additions will take a little bit in when you put them in, but not much. Obviously you'll lose the pressure you had before, but there should be minimal air 'contamination'. I've walked around waist deep in a CO2 cloud after a mill fire in an aluminum mill and was perfectly safe because the CO2 was pretty cold when released (thus the cloud) and it takes a little while for it to mix with air if there's no forced air movement. When you re-pressure, it'll be like nothing ever happened because the amount of air that goes in with the hops will be pretty miniscule.

I have an allrounder, but I don't have the height I need in my fermenter for one of those. I will just continue to depressive (key is to do that slowly), drop the hops, and get the lid back on luckily split!
