What are you drinking right now?

Looks like I'm kicking off Oktoberfest 2017!

hey now. sometimes this thread gets really quiet. i assumed everyone here was a functioning alcoholic.

BikeDog Mosaic Pale tonight. Pouring Erdinger Dunkel right now.

you mix allot of beers, no stomach issues after? I try to stay with the same beer all night

trust me i feel it in the morning....

....worth it.

So many beers so little time.

I tend to drink different beers unless I have a keg that's close to kicking and I want to get a new batch in there. Then I'll drink the same beer.

Urban South's Holy Roller IPA... Andechser Doppelbock Dunkel... Bell's bourbon barrel aged Hell Hath No Fury, which was an awesome beer. Untappd said it was like 7.5%, but the keg at the bar was labeled 11.5%, didn't taste like 11.5%... finished out with North Coast Grand Cru.

One of my kegs went mobile for the first time ever. Took a new keg of a Longboard inspired lager to my brother in law's place today. I just bought a single regulator for just such an occasion. A kitchen trash can held it with a big bag of ice perfectly. Full keg on the way over. About a half keg on the return.

Courtyard All Smiles, a farmhouse which was pretty damn good, Courtyard Lonesome Traveler, a single hopped pale with Nelson, hops slap ya in the face, which was nice. some other whatever, Lagunitas Stoopid Wit, and finished with them cheese fries and a Bell's Best Brown.

7AM wakeup call, and it's currently almost 1AM. some one have a beer ready for me in the morning

drinking the last 1/4 keg of my English pale ale, man this is good, it always is right before you hear that foam "Im all out of beer" sound :(

There was a lady from St. Arnold in the bar tonight. Had both Saint Arnold Bishop's Barrel #13, and #14 tonight (bottles). She gave out samples of Summer Pils, and Art Car, had a Lil' Smack IPA in between, then ordered a 5 'oClock Pils from Saint Arnold on the house which she threw in the custom pint glass with it, woo. She was super nice.. Drove to the lady's house, who poured me a belgian home-brew i made, thats where i'm at right now.

edit: forgot to mention. all this beer was my dinner.

I was expecting a saucy limerick with the way you started that post

if you get me drunk again i might write a limerick... rereading that, it sounds like i went to the St. Arnold's lady's house, which did not happen. But, i did have a leftover home-brew at girls house. Hangover oliver feels really good right now.

Okay here's the run-down for the evening....

Bomber of my Amber ale - extract/steeped brewed early in the summer with UK Phoenix (nobody uses that hop...WHY?! It's awesome!). Damn good beer - rich caramel from the amber extract and nice flavor and body from the steeped grains with roasty notes from the Chocolate malt.

Keg check of the freshly-carbed "Oktober-Mess" Ale - it failed miserably at several points along the way and it's hard to tell yet if it's drain-bait, yet. It might be the keg I keep around for guests I don't really like that much. :)

Bottle of my Pils - I'm pretty sure it's my best to date...considering sending a few bottles in to a competition. It fits the profile of a Czech Premium Lager and it's a really fine beer. I added a little Melanoidin to the mash and I can't tell if it's helping or hindering, but the pour is a clear amber-tinged gold color and the flavor is really rich with a nice malt compliment and bold but smooth hop profile (Hallertau and Saaz).
It's a little tough to resist grabbing another one!

I have an absolutely perfect Oktoberfest ale which I'm drinking now and is almost gone, all I can say is I have a family member thats very very hard to please, 1 out of 10 gets a thumbs up and this one is a winner, its lite, malty and never lost its hop flavor. I guess im attempting to repeat this beer next week
