What are you drinking right now?

You're talking plucking the hops and putting them in your glass? I've never heard of that before.

Same English pale ale, took a while to age and its very malty but very good, definitely not a chugging beer. its actually not as dark as the picture My phone camera auto darkens and blurs by default I need to look at that setting

Yup there are a few barely ready to pick so I just dropped a few in the glass and poured over them. Just a touch more flavor and aroma but looks pretty cool!

I just cleared my Summer Ale for drinking today. Nicely carbonated. It's been sitting on 30 lbs of CO2 for about 3 days. No rolling. It came out a little hoppier than I care for. I don't know why (nor am I concerned). Still drinkable, and those who like hops would love it. Even my wife said its okay for her. I used fresh grated lemon peel in it. Very nice lemon taste.

Beats the heck out of a slice of orange.

I think it would make a great presentation .for a beer at a pub

back at the local hole.

Delta Mama (urban south), Opus Vert from Parish is a pretty damn good drinking 7% IPA, El Caganer (against the grain brewing), Imperial Simcoe Slacker which is Evil Twin's Simcoe single hop-- pretty good but feeling a lot of pine i think on the end, finished out with Prairie Americana and Prairie-vous Francais

last night this guy introduced himself as a rep from Pabst, and they're trying to bring back Jax. Had a free Jax beer, got a t shirt, talked about beer and branding for a while. It was pretty cool, he was saying it's about 5.1%, Pilsner, White Wheat, and a touch of CaraVienna. 23IBUs, Magnum bittered, fuggles flavor addition, and pekko dry hopped. Quite really, the most balanced "american pilsner" that you might drink, and could drink 12 of them.

Who owns Pabst these days? I had a Miller a few days ago and couldn't get past the DMS.

Pabst is not owned by any larger company i believe. Guy claimed "we are the largest american owned brewery"

Weird, article from 2014 I found said a Russian brewer bought it, but then Wikipedia made it sound like it's still an American company.

At any rate, I think they mostly contract brew at other facilities. I wouldn't consider them a brewery per se if that were true

brewsiana fest this evening at the house of blues.. all Louisiana breweries. Had 13 different beers in what looked like 5 oz pours. Standout winner was clearly Abita Peach Lager. Supplemental beer at courtyard brewery and a Saison DuPont as the capper. Brewing tomorrow.

AHA rally yesterday at our LHBS. My Ky Common and another member's Agave Red was on tap from the Aurora City Brew Club - dang it, Morris, I want that recipe! Four other clubs sharing several brews, the 5% sessionable Saison was among the most memorable. At home, life's getting in the way so brewing is on hold for a few weeks. Currently drinking coffee at Starbucks, waiting for SWAMBO to get out of church. Party in Conifer this pm, I'm providing homebrew to the regulars....

taste testing my Oktoberfest, 4 beers later.... it passes hoooah

Got in trouble for tapping up ours last night. Was suppose to wait til September  ,so I had to share the glass with the bookkeeper. Best one yet. Maybe I am learning something about lagers. Was very clean and crisp with balanced malt/hops. It will be hard to share with friends. Think I will leave the tap handle off for a while  .

Mine won't be ready until close to 1 October.

I'm afraid to drink another I'm getting that happy squinting eyed look lol
