First pour of my Mild. This turned out super well. Nice hint of chocolate and roast. Slight malt sweetness but finish is dry. I will do this one again soon.

I have not had a "mild". What are the characteristics of a mild?

Low abv. Balanced so not “bitter” like an English bitter. Dark milds are well dark. Use English ingredients. Today they’ll have roast or chocolate malt.

Lower than usual I went for 1.5. These would be served on cask traditionally so low carbonation. @The Brew Mentor you served yours on cask?

I calculated it to 2 volumes for the cask, but I actually like it better on the draft system at 2.5 ish volumes.

I finished an oatmeal IPA and then a west coast IPA and now I am working on a Sour wheat.....I think the Oatmeal cream IPA so far is the best of the lot
