What are you drinking right now?

My mom ‘accidentally’ threw out two tickets to see Jethro Tull at Madison Square Garden on me…
Bummer saw Tull a few times. Anderson played like he was possessed. I believe he's touring now. Has the wind. Funny story. Recently went to a flute guitar duet at the library. Classical fare. Then the guitarist takes a break and the young women in her black gown breaks out in a great rendition of Locomotive Breath.

I worked a couple of years in public libraries after a stint in a medical library and wouldn't of objected to music like that after hours. I seriously doubt an album with lyrical content found on Aqualung would get released here in the UK now. I recall Horslips covering Locomotive Breath live and doing a good job of it. I wonder what Ian Anderson had been drinking when he wrote that song. Just keeping us on track ;)

I also worked on the railways very briefly when I was much younger (moved around a lot). Another favourite of mine from somebody I only learned to appreciate later in life was Canadian Railroad Trilogy by Gordon Lightfoot '...drinking bad whiskey...' springs to mind.

Been tasting my fermented Pear Cider prior to bottling, slightly sweeter than expected but great, full mouthfeel bodes well.

"Wind Up" was such a cool song on Aqualung. I think it is my favorite Jethro Tull song. I always wondered why nobody ever played it on the radio.
I don't want to piss anybody off, but I was in the Carolinas for a bit when I was much younger and just got tired of hearing all the fire and brimstone thrown at me. I smiled like hell the first time I heard those lyrics.

My older brother is named Ian after Ian Anderson

Wind Up is also near the top of my very favorite Tull songs. In high school one of the things that amazed me about the Aqualung album was that side 1 had gritty hard rock songs like Aqualung and Cross-eyed Mary and side 2 had faith based songs like Wind Up and My God. It showed the younger me that the two were not mutually exclusive.

Oatmeal stout.

It took the younger, rebellious me awhile to figure that out.
