Testing the carbonation on my Oktoberfest. Had to get a second pint just to make sure
It’s a hoppy IPA. I still have 3 cans, and I would share with you if you were in the neighborhood. Also canned on 7/29/21. Tastes fine to me, though I have no reference point. Wish I had more.

Indeed, always keep a bottle of GOOD whiskey for emergencies...Whisky and water is good. It could be so much worse: just water...
But in the future, remember your priorities!
Indeed not! And now you know something new (and, thank you, so do we!) and have become an even better brewer for it.decent) I should have known better. Not a failure though,
Well you may not detect coconut from Talus either which is related to Sabro i found.English Porter. My quest for an English Porter that checks all the buttons will continue. This one is quite drinkable and has a lot to offer (nice body, chocolatey but not roasty to keep it separate from my Stout, color is about right, head and lacing are decent) but it won’t make the cut thanks to a boneheaded late hops addition that I’m kicking myself for. I read that Sabro offers a nice coconut flavor and thought that that might pair nice with a Porter. Well, first off, it probably wouldn’t have and secondly, the coconut is nowhere to be found. I’m getting tropical and citrus which, hey…for an IPA, sign me up! But, for me, its an obvious clash with the rest of this beer. I should have known better. Not a failure though, and my hope is that this late addition will likely be the first thing to fade. It certainly won’t go to waste, and I will keep on circling the white whale.

I have used Sabro in a porter and the coconut came thru quite well.English Porter. My quest for an English Porter that checks all the buttons will continue. Thanks. It’s actually pretty good to be honest, but it wasn’t what I was aiming for. That’s the frustrating part…spend all this time thinking and dreaming of a flavor profile, do the research, look at other’s recipes, plan, tinker…and then that first sip tells me I missed the mark. In hindsight, it really wasn’t hard to see this coming. But the fun part is trying again. And the fun part far outweighs the frustrating part.Well you may not detect coconut from Talus either which is related to Sabro i found.
And I get hints of Coconut with this Talus hop.
Others such as AKA GASH Slugg cant stand Sabro because of the said "Coconut" flavour.
Interesting how we can percieve different things
Dam fine looking beer nonetheless megary!
