That’s awesome. Thanks for the information. Nothing like an honorable disagreement over things that truly matter!Hey Meg, nice to see your post... I didn't know that there is a 'Day' for the Pisco Sour.
It is a tradition here in Chile as well as in Peru. The drinks are similar between the two countries, your recipe is closer to what we drink in Chile... the version from Peru is made with Key Limes instead of Lemons as well as they use a dash of 'Bitter' dropped into the foam. Both versions are delicious and always available at family and friends get togethers.
Both countries have a 'gentlemens' feud over where the Pisco Sour originated.... I've enjoyed both and actually like the Peruvian version better, although both are very tasty.
Yes, it uses Idaho 7 hops that were once called 007 experimental hops. Not the best tasting hop in my book so I pair up with Amarillo. Call it Agent 007 IPA. But in honor of the Bond series, not just Sean, who was fantastic btw. I especially like the older shows, pre 1990 (less PC).Was that the 007 In honor of Sean Connery you mentioned a while back? Or am I mixed up ?
Tom..... sighView attachment 14149 Just poured my West Coast IPA, while brewing and spinning vinyl (Tom Petty up right now).
A beauty!! If you ever get picked for brewer of the quarter, I’d love to have a go at that.View attachment 14149 Just poured my West Coast IPA, while brewing and spinning vinyl (Tom Petty up right now).

And it is very sweet. Had to put half water.
They did not have standard schweppes tonic. The only other was green cucumber tonic....
I used to be a big V&T and G&T drinker until one day I decided to give up the tonic and switch to Club Soda. (You know, give up the sugar, not the booze). It took a bit getting used to, but now I would never go back to tonic as I find it far too sweet. Love a nice Gin Rickey (no simple syrup).Gin & tonic.
