What are you drinking right now?

Hope you had a nice Christmas with your daughter, pretty special when they are little. A have a daughter and son, 25, and 21. Christmas is less about wonder, and more about being mutually grateful for each other now, so ya, it gets even better.
It has been great. Everything is still magical to her. We have another week off so I’m going to make the best of it.

I "liked" that, just sayin'. These times are magical for you too bud, take it all in.

The Coffee Porter that I brewed in July. I bottled it and tucked it away for this time of year. It is fermented with VOSS Kveik. This is a holy shit beer! I think I will take the last few and tuck them away for next year at this time.

That looks tasty! Have yet to make anything dark with Kveik. I plan to next summer. You shared that recipe with me a few months ago may give that a look.

My first thoughts are that the juicy flavors VOSS is preported to impart come out like a "tart orange" which oddly works with the roasted malts, and cold steeped espresso roast. I sure hope I kept good notes on this one...

Good God Man, it is thick and rich, more tart than sweet. It doesn't fit the description of Stout, or Porter, nor Black IPA.

Coffee and Baileys. I was up at 6:30 this morning because one of our sites had a catastrophic server failure around midnight.

I don't know what it is but it seems like a bloody Christmas tradition for some weird unexplainable error to pop up around this time of year for this company.

Been busy hosting outside family events with friends, drinking a little of everything I have on the shelf... from 240+ (500cc) bottles, down to about 60 on the shelf. Still have more events in the near future, I'll be bottling again this week.
Today, drinking an amber with Rye that is very tasty. Even converted a 'wine only' drinker... she took a few liters home with her after the party. It has my homemade toasted caramelized malted rye in the recipe.
and to top it off, it has only been in the bottle 6 days.

Leftovers from bottling my "C" hops pale ale (super original name I know...:D)
Half of the batch was dry hopped with Cascade/Chinook/Columbus, and it smelled resiny, and tasted very hoppy. The other half batch was dry hopped with just Cascade, and it smelled and tasted much more floral. The perceived bitterness of the hop blend batch was much higher than the Cascade batch too (my guess is the Chinook and/or Columbus contributed some wayward BU's). This glass has a blend of both, and tastes pretty good. Maybe I should've blended all of it, but then that ruins my Science :) We'll see what happens after 3 weeks in the bottle, cheers

Beer and ganja, alright.

Just a PBR for me. So full of left over turkey, mashed spuds w/butter and blue cheese and bourbon sweet taters that there's no room for anything heavier. Damn near burnt out on craft beer at this point. Need to back off for a few days.
