What are you doing with homebrew today?

Smacked 2 packs of expired Beer WY2112 this morning, if they start to swell, I’ll use them Sunday…if not I’ll pitch them, in the trash.

The wort for the (hopefully) tropical IPA is in the kegmenter. My batch of 2 row smash from a few days ago is fermenting unbelievably slow. The graph hasn't leveled off yet, which is good. But normally it's done by now. I checked the fermenter to see what is happening and there is krausen up to an inch below the keg posts  thick foamy stuff too! This one's a head scratcher, but I gotta let it run its course. Fingers crossed it doesn't hit the gas post with the spunding valve...

24 hours and no visible activity on any of the smack packs...I'll give them until this evening and if I still don't see amy signs of life, I'll get the WLP800 slurry out of the fridge and use that instead of WY2112.

Not wired up yet.
I want to bottle my saison and cider first as they are in the fridge now.
And yes, it's supposed to regulate the temperature.
The cable connectors are a little small, going to be a bit of a pain to get my wires connected, esp the ones that need 2 wires connected

Wired up now and connected to the solar charge controller.
It's quite basic, but will be better than nothing ;)
She got a 3 oC bandwidth.
Since there is still a saison in it, I've set it to 25 oC, meaning, fridge will come on at 28 oC and switches off at 25 oC.
I figure that's roughly the temps where the saison has been sitting so far
At least I can test it.
The sensor is hanging against the side of my stainless steel fermenter (tied onto the handle).

Woo! Technology is so fun. I have a small square of insulation taped to my fermenter and my sensor probe tucks right in. I've also heard some folks use a jug of water to put the sensor to track their fridge temps.

And I managed to get into the settings. Changed the bandwidth to 1.5 oC (just because now I can :) )
And now it's time for a homebrew Cider

Hope you have enough bandwidth to meet up with us later!
Although I know that it is a late night for you if you doo_O

Indeed late.
Don't even now if it is at 23.00 or midnight at my timezone
And I just started on cider...
We'll see....
