Oh my goodness! Who did that wonderful sparging?

That's the word for the thin cement coating on the CMUs...
I had a local Amish mason that did all the work. Quite an artist!

Yep, you always get some weed seed mixed in but that's pretty easy to get cleaned up.

That seems like a pretty intact log structure.
 
Honestly, when we were first considering buying it, we had concerns.
Now that we live her, we absolutely love it.
Memorial services, a nice place to go for a walk, quiet neighbors, and plenty of drive through from the local police.
After a burial, my wife always welcomes the new neighbors as well! Good sense of humor I guess.
