Bread Thread!

We tend to eat more bread during the colder parts of the year. Here is what just came out of the oven, sourdough.
 
Looks like a dinosaur egg...

Tastes much better though, especially when toasted. This slice is about to go in the toaster, get slathered with some mayonaise and mustard, then receive a nicely fried egg. Given that chickens are modern day dinosaurs, I will call it a dino sandwich.
 
When I used to bake bread, high humidity in the oven made a huge difference in the crust.
 
Rye bread
Lowish amount of "normal" yeast.
I made sourdough rye before this one, but I wasn't impressed
(Note: the rye flour had an expiry date of 2015, but I'm sill alive :) )
