We brewed this collab beer with D&T Drive inn (craft beer bar) on our one barrel pilot unit at New Magnolia Brewing, Houston, TX. I rated this a 5 as is not a 4.5 option. This beer turned out fantastic. Loads of hop flavor and aroma. Pine, citrus, slight dankness and some other pleasant flavors that are hard to describe. The pale chocolate and Carafa added chocolate and coffee notes. This beer has like 5 different layers that hit the palate while drinking. The rye provided a nice mouthfeel and finish. I carbed it around 2.3-2.4 v/v CO2 as I really wanted the malts to shine thru. The only complaint, and this is hard to believe with 90 IBUs, is the bitterness was on the light side of what I was looking for hence the 4.5 rating Otherwise, I really like how this one turned out.
