Note: the batch will be divided into used 5L bourbon (shine) oak barrels, medium char and aged various times to optimize best flavor. Will give follow up. Alternative since most folks don't have home brew barrels sitting around is to use the oak chips from commercial whisky barrels ( cheap and easy to find online ) and follow the package instructions.
