Notes
ALWAYS USE THE BAG. recirc got stuck again
i will start with 16 gallons. used MT and it displaced 2.5 gallons (from 9 to 11.5 in MT) mashed at 149 60 mins. raised temp to 182 once MT got to 160 i reduced heat to 175. but it stuck so no mash out i ended with 13.5 gallons in bk. ran about 1/2 gal thru wort chillr.
sg 1.052
OG 1.062
1 hour FULL boil ended with 11.5 gallons,
pump acting up. starting and stopping.... i dont know
sooo, there appeared to be something smudged on the blonde fermenter as i was filling. i wiped it with a sanitized rag...
then filling fermenter 2 a fly flew passed me, my hose drained onto the lip of the fermenter which then slid into the wort. itll be a miracle....
5.5 gallons will be pulled and fermented with s-5. 3 ounce coffee beans will be added 4 days prior to keg
BATCH 2:
after first 5.5 gallons pulled, whirlpool additions will be added.
whirlpool will be 4 oz eldorado 2 oz centennial.
