Notes
Using 2.77l/kg mash thickness and 1.04l/kg grain water absorption
Using pi(diameter of kettle in Cm/2)(diameter of kettle in Cm/2)0.00428 and trub loss I lose circa 5 litres of water in my kettle with also counting boil off.
So using 26 litres of pre-boil water = Strike water by Grain Bill - Grain Absorption Water then 26 litres - water in kettle after grain Absorption = Sparge Water.
Water in kettle + Sparge Water = 26 litres of Pre boil wort. I hit my Fermentation number using this method every time. Over a 1 hour boil at 99 deg Celsius.
