What's your next brew

I've ALMOST made it through all of my random hop samples and subscription hops. If you know what kind of beers I like, you'd not be surprised to learn that everything left is a noble hop or americanized-noble descendant :D thought it might be fun to brew a whirlpooled/dry-hopped light or amber lager to use these up. No boil hops. I've got halltertau, tettnager, liberty, and strissel spalt. Could be fun!

Shocking LOL.

Brewing a Black IPA, or what use to be referred to as a Casadian Dark Ale, plan to do that Monday. My LHBS is out of DME, and out of Cascade hops... grrrrr, Amazon to the rescue. This is a previous version of it, thin and bitter like an IPA, but dark and a little more complex. This is achieved be reserving the dark malts and adding them with about 5 or 10 minutes to go in the mash

Whenever I see and hear things like that, I get cravings to hop up a Saison or a Belgian.

I’m planning on a CDA later in year; in prep for the 6 cold weeks in south Texas.

A buddy of mine was in Mexico a few weeks back, he brought me back a Black IPA. It was very good, not great but really very good. Inspired me to dust off my recipe, haven't seen BIPA in the stores for ages, maybe even years, maybe even pre covid...

I haven't brewed a Cascadian Dark Ale in years either but, it has been creeping up on my need-to-brew list. I don't use the term Black IPA mainly because a pale beer should not be black.

I've got a bunch of light Munich and a random pound of pilsner, so I'm gonna go for it! Just need to play around with the recipe calculator and figure out how many hops I can dump in. And I'll need some lager yeast, I only have M44 West Coast at the moment

Go with that yeast but ferment at the low end of the temp range.....
