The first one of those I owned worked with a sodastream without the adpator. I just had to remove the extra spacer at the bottom of the regulator and the cylinder would screw in directly. Though as it hits the release piston on the cylinder fairly early there's a lot of gas escaping while you finish tightening things.That will likely be my long term solution, but this gets me started with being able to have homebrew at the trailer this summer
So I'm currently using an adapter that lets you drop the pin after screwing on the adapter - https://www.kegland.com.au/deluxe-sodastream-cylinder-adapter-with-pin-adjustment.html. I'm guessing there are quite a few different Chinese manufacturers of the regulators and adapters so who knows how universal things are.
