You know, mild is not so easy to describe for me. First off, it tastes brown, a malty kinda sweetish, maybe caramel or toffee. Not bitter. Not a heavy body like a stout, more liquidy. A bit unique. Complicating it, milds are not usually found in the store. Even total wine rarely has even one.My "Mild Mannered" I've never tried a commercial dark mild so I don't know what I should be tasting.

Yummm!! That is one style that I do like a lot, especially if they go back and do the Vienna Lager roots which that looks like.View attachment 31208During my afternoon walk, I joined some friends for an impromptu beer. Mexican Dark Lager at The Friendly Garden.
I like your description. I’ve always considered a (Dark) Mild to be a “session” Brown Ale: lower ABV and a little lighter in color (maybe), but many of the same flavors. A beer to enjoy all night with Andy Capp. You know, mild is not so easy to describe for me. First off, it tastes brown, a malty kinda sweetish, maybe caramel or toffee. Not bitter. Thank You Mr. President.
Oh yes it was. I walked up and down hills for about 50 minutes to get there. The walk home took 10 minutes.I guess your walk wasn't considered exercise?
I failed to identify the brewery on that beer - Ex Novo out of New Mexico. Like this enough that my wife and I enjoyed a round today, and I looked up their ingredients in interest of crafting my own recipe.Yummm!!
