What are you drinking right now?

After this weekend, I was drinking Kombucha last night:), and not the hard stuff.

Something a little more domestic

Hailing from Tampa, Fl. This might go well with a decent cigar.

My wife liked Maduro. Santa Clause left it in her Christmas stocking a couple of times:) There are a couple of places up the road from there that make damn good beer, but they don't distribute.
I have been to and through Tampa a number of times, but I never stopped there for some reason (probably I was on my way somewhere or I was going to one of my two other beloved places), and it looks like it is right off the Selmon Expressway.
You used to be able to get that at Publix. I don't know if you can anymore or not.

First pour of my Forest Fest Bier. Malty and probably too bitter for the style, but I like it. And if you ask Horst Dornbusch, Festbier isn't a style with set parameters so it can be whatever you want :)

Sometimes the Hallertau can get a little bitter. They are going a lot lighter to make them more drinkable. If you are in that Sierra Nevada range for the hoppiness, I bet it is very tasty.

Last night was a cider night with the gal. These bottles were tasty, the first is a cider that is co-fermented with wine grapes and the second is a mead based cider using a saison yeast. My favorite was the mead based one, will definitely have to pickup more of this when i go back. Watched a couple of old time horror movies (Halloween and Nightmare on Elm Street) in the spirit of Halloween (with no trick or treaters)

A mead cider with a Saison yeast? That sounds interesting as hell. I wonder which yeast?
TCM had the Frankenstein movies on early last night:) Wednesday, they had The Beast With Five Fingers. Peter Lorre was awesome way back when.

Luckily I didnt run out of Sierra Nevada Festbier BSing with Josh last week. I might do a tester of my Porter either tonight or tomorrow before I go out and see The Fixx. Im actually king of psyched about seeing them in that tiny venue, especially since I can Uber over early and go to the brewery across the street.
