What are you drinking right now?

My Smooth Stout with Nicoise salad featuring arugula picked from our garden this afternoon. Albacore is sourced locally, as are the eggs and cucumbers. My wife made the dressing. Such a delicious meal, and good for you, too.
And the beer, I feel, is the best I’ve ever made!

Three and a half month old London Porter. ABV: 5.5%. Better for the increase of Target hops against last year's first attempt. More flavour than bitterness although I am struggling to describe it beyond some rich combination of cocoa and coffee. Refreshing two weeks chilled in the shade from the blazing sun we had here lunchtime.

This was my first over primed beer in a while. Thankfully gushing out the bottle was moderate rather than hitting the kitchen ceiling or windows (as I've just nicely cleaned them; mopped the floor and can remember the decorative effect very well). Somehow doesn't seem to have disturbed the sediment in the 2L bottle. I have another of these in store, the rest of the batch are 1L, hoping this is a one off.

Deep but light head very quickly dissipating. Noticeably gingery/golden brown hoppy colour at the base that camera has not picked up according to my eyesight. Basically not quite my day but not bad enough to grumble over. This was the best shot and it is heavily edited due to high exposure. A great tasting beer and that's the main thing. Porter seems to be overtaking stout at my place lately.

Best stout I've ever brewed. I'm going to hate to see the last of this one.

Looks good. Brew it again!
I was never really a fan of stouts, but I tried some, then brewed my own. My Smooth Stout has been brewed 3 times since November, each batch improving on the last. The latest batch is drinking very nicely now, I think maybe the best beer I have brewed.

That chocolate wheat looks interesting. No roast?
I didn’t want to make it too complex, and from my research I was dissuaded from using roasted barley. This has a good hop bitterness.
Just this past weekend, I joined a local brewers club, and will take 1 or 2 bottles of my stout to share at the next meeting on Monday. My wife tells me it’s a good beer, my sense tells me it’s good, and I will seek feedback from others
