Troegs - Mad Elf Grand Cru

Unfortunately, the crease in the label makes it a bit difficult to read. But there’s a spicy Belgian thing in the background that the tartness from the cherries compliments perfectly. Nice ruby color. Great beer.

Shouldn’t the mayo be Duke’s? In SoCal, a couple Southerners who were regulars at the local BJ’s introduced me to Duke’s Mayonaise. Lucky to find it at a specialty grocery here in Eugene. It’s the good stuff.
I live in a Dukes Mayo town...Best Foods/Hellman's is way better
 
Also tested my first temperature controlled M47 Belgian ale.
Carbed nicely, foam is fine.
Little bitter, more than my "normal" beers, but forgot I wasn't making a blond or tripel ;)
Not fruity, amazing how much difference a lower temperature has on this yeast.
Got another one in fermenter (differrnt recipe, same yeast) at same temperature, but I'll increase temp for the next one!
