Last pull of the American Wheat…man, I’m going to miss this one. Nice little summer beer with a bit of bready character and a touch of lemon/lime from the hops. Slides down like a hockey puck.

But now I have 2 problems: no home brew for another 2 weeks …and a keg to clean.

Herm’s Amber Ale, with a blooming Mexican Bird of Paradise for background.

Closing out Sunday night with a nice Belgian Strong Ale. Belgians are so hit and miss for me, but this one’s a big hit. Nice spicey aroma, dry and bitter to taste, almost Saison like, not overly malty like some Belgians tend to be, very drinkable despite the obvious alcohol warmth. And at 25oz, it will put me right to sleep.

8.5%. It really was a nice beer. Wish I had more.

I do have one Delirium Red though, which is some kind of fruit beer. I'll be sure to post that one when I get to it.

A Taste of the Tropics (yesterday)

Dunkelweizen. It’s growing on me. The flavors I didn’t like have settled down. @Donoroto

@Josh Hughes it should be banana/bubblegum with maybe cloves, a little yeasty/bready. Malt forward, brown (as a flavor... hard to describe) and fizzy, even effervescent.

Problem Child IPA…grain to glass in 15 days and easily the best ipa I’ve ever made.

I am forcing the issue so that I have to brew Herm’s Amber Ale soon. Tonight I have had 3 of them, which is enough. There is a six pack left. Also a six pack of Memorial Day IPA, so I should be good through the weekend. Next Monday looks like a good day to brew.

The thing is, I only put in the fridge what I will drink in a day/night. All the rest of my bottles are either in the garage, or my interior closet (fermentation room). The fridge is mainly for food.
