What are you drinking right now?

On it lol. Had a Oktoberfest from Leinenkugals. Been getting a sip of whiskey each time I get up to walk around. Wife has to help me off the couch each time. Tomorrow will better
So sorry Josh :/ I hope you feel better soon. I strained my back in October and have been out of work since. It's so hard to rest and heal spine injuries. Hope the beer keeps flowing!

Was doing dishes and sneezed, back locked up! Wife told me to get beer muscle relaxer, she is awesome that way. Sierra Nevada was the strongest I had so I drank that while she worked in straightening me up, she is an OT so she is helpful. Now I, laying flat on my back. Going to get up and eat soon and drink some else. My back is terrible had a ruptured disc and surgery at 26 years old, I’m 40 now. This happy few times a year.

Sorry to hear about your back. I had a poor back a couple of months ago but not as a result of that level of injury. Get better soon - you need to be able to brew!!!!

What'd you think?
I liked it, a little different than my usual diet of pale ales and IPA’s. Good malt character, nice bitterness, crisp(?)- I thought maybe a hybrid ale/lager feel.
Lately, I’m trying to taste different beers. Last weekend, I had a Russian Imperial Stout on draft from a local brewery that was gorgeous - so good, I had 2

Ah Josh take it easy big fella enjoy those muscle relaxers just relax the right ones lol:p!

I also like a Steam beer from time to time. It's a good break from the hoppy beers without going to stouts/porters. And you're right about the ale/lager hybrid lol bottom fermenting yeast at ale temperatures. Anchor made it famous

I meant to post this last night....a little local flavor from just down the road in Frederick that I thought they were only selling at their tasting room but low and behold there it was in a 4 pack at a local liquor store. I gotta say, Maryland has one handsome state flag!

Happy with how your turned out? My sample was tasty. I bottled so I’ll open one in 5-6 weeks.
My Shady Bohemian sample was quite frankly one of the ten best beers I've brewed. It hit pretty much everything. I have it chilled to lager temps, kegging it in about a month.

Yeah sure is bulins hit the nail on the head with this one. I find dark lager a tricky style to brew personally.
Smooth well ballanced great creamy mouthfeel the chocolate roasty flavours as it warms and the clean finish plus low abv make for a great little session beer.
drinking that glass yesterday i thought itd be amazing scaled up to six or seven percent to really Bolden them flavours.

Ben it's a lot harder to let my Shady Boh bottles sit and lager when you post delicious pictures like this :D
Yeah I dont wait I just start drinking them straight from the start and hopefully have some left after a month or two.
I really dont mind my lagers fresh out the keg.

Only thing I noticed in my Shady Bohemian was somewhat low attenuation, not that's a bad thing in this beer! I'd planned an FG of 1.007, it came out as 1.021! Lots of chewy goodness left behind there, likely a result of water. I used exceptionally soft water, something I've read can retard attenuation.

Josh, would it help if we all shipped you an emergency supply of our strongest stuff? :p

Mine went to 1.010 wow that's 11 points up. What yeast did you use.
